Most “how much does Cancun cost” articles give you a range. This page gives you the actual price each resort charged for a real week, for a real family: 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 6 and 10), one room, 7 nights, all-inclusive. Prices checked October 6, 2026.
The short answer
The middle price across all 60 resort-weeks we checked was $4,050 for the week — about $145 per person per night with food and drinks included. Flights are extra. The cheapest week we found was $1,826; the most expensive was $10,459.

- • The cheapest 5★ resort in every week was Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort (Riviera Maya (Puerto Morelos)): $2,266 thanksgiving week, $2,653 spring break, $1,826 early summer.

How we got these prices
We ran the same Expedia search for each week — “all inclusive family resort” in the Cancun area (Hotel Zone, Playa and Costa Mujeres, Riviera Cancun and Puerto Morelos), 2 adults with children aged 6 and 10 — on October 6, 2026, and recorded the total price Expedia showed for the full stay. We kept resorts that came back in at least two of the three weeks and have 100+ Expedia reviews. One Thanksgiving price (Moon Palace The Grand, about 2.5 times its other weeks and apparently suite-only) is shown as not listed. That is the standard rate before member discounts, so the price you see today may be lower or higher. No resort paid to be listed.
